Siva and Ayranna Kugathas Expand Further into Merry Maids with South Surrey Launch
9 May 2026
Merry Maids announces further UK expansion as Siva Kugathas launches Merry Maids South Surrey — his third territory within the network in under a year.
Merry Maids has announced further expansion as franchise owner Siva Kugathas launches Merry Maids South Surrey. This marks his third territory within the network in under a year and reflects continued confidence in the brand.
He is joined in management by his daughter, Ayranna Kugathas, who leads operations across the group. Ayranna has been involved since the acquisition of the Merry Maids Inverness territory and now oversees performance across all Merry Maids locations.
After securing Inverness in July 2025 and Aberdeen in September 2025, Siva has continued to invest in the Merry Maids network. This latest expansion strengthens his presence and reinforces long-term confidence in the model.
From Single Territory to Multi-Territory Growth
Siva also owns ServiceMaster Clean AAA, one of the largest operations within ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services. He began with a single territory in Guildford in 2017 and has grown the business to 22 territories across the UK, from Inverness to Dover.
Ayranna supports operations with a background in HR within ServiceMaster Clean AAA and previous experience inside a ServiceMaster Clean franchise, focusing on recruitment, team performance, and consistent standards.
Siva said: "I have expanded further with Merry Maids because we trust the structure behind the brand. The systems are proven, the demand is consistent and the support allows you to grow without compromising quality."
Strength in a Growing Domestic Cleaning Sector
The UK cleaning, hygiene and waste sector is valued at almost £67 billion and employs around 1.49 million people. Around 2.5 million UK households pay for domestic cleaning services, with the sector forecast to grow by around 6.9% per year through to 2030.
A Management-Led Franchise Opportunity
The Merry Maids franchise model is built around recruiting, training, and leading professional teams rather than personally cleaning. Weekly and fortnightly cleaning schedules generate repeat income, building predictable revenue and strong customer retention.
