This website (uk-franchise-opportunities.org) is operated by Infinity Business Growth Network Limited, trading as UK Franchise Opportunities ("we", "us", "our"). We are a company registered in England and Wales.
Registered office: Amelia House, Crescent Road, Worthing, England, BN11 1QR.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller in respect of personal data you provide directly to us. Where we share your enquiry with a franchisor of your choice, that franchisor becomes a separate, independent controller of the data they receive.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what your rights are. It applies to visitors, registered users, advertisers and anyone who submits an enquiry through our forms.
3. The personal data we collect
- Enquiry data: name, email address, phone number, postcode, available investment level, message, and the franchise(s) selected.
- Account data (advertisers): name, email, company name, login credentials and any listing content you submit.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, referring URL, pages viewed and timestamps.
- Cookie and analytics data: only where you have given consent — see our Cookie Policy.
- Marketing preferences: your choices about receiving communications from us.

5. Who we share your data with
- Franchisors you choose to enquire with. When you submit an enquiry, your details are sent to the franchisor(s) you selected so they can respond. They process that data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers. Hosting, database, email delivery and analytics providers who process data on our behalf as processors under written contracts.
- Authorities. Where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry records: up to 24 months after your last interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
- Advertiser accounts and listings: for the life of the account, plus up to 6 years after closure to meet legal and accounting obligations.
- Server logs and security data: typically 90 days.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please get in touch via our contact form.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
9. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, role-based permissions and database row-level security to protect your data. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
This site is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
