The National Franchise Exhibition comes to Birmingham’s NEC on 16 & 17 February, bringing those with ambitions of business ownership together with numerous franchise brands and a vault of expert advice.

Former Olympian and CEO Tim Benjamin, whose company Fitness Space offer an alternative to the traditional gym environment, will inspire on Saturday 17 February, as he shares his story of how the brand is capitalising on the growing boutique sector, and why this model is proving to be a sustainable and profitable investment opportunity.
Those keen to learn how to increase sales and the value of those sales will have the chance to learn from two leading specialists in this area. The Sales Rainmaker, Jeremy Jacobs, will present ‘Three common sales mistakes and how to overcome them’, while Adrian Marks of enjoy! Marketing will explain how to generate a constant stream of enquiries and increase customer value.
Recognising that small business owners won’t have time to sit at a desk managing social media accounts all day, David Glenwright of JC Social Media will teach audiences about the tools available to automate and manage social media while on the go. As a further means to reach customers, Peter Murray of Cicero, will educate on the value of PR and how SMEs can best execute it.
Chris Roberts of Franchise Finance will illustrate why you need a business plan and how to prepare and use it, while Sonal Shah & Haico Van Der Steen of Simple Backing will educate on the mechanics of peer-to-peer lending and the three main considerations for SMEs.
The Growing Your Own Business hub complements the conference, acting as a platform for visitors to obtain one-to-one advice on the preliminary stages of setting up their business. Industry experts, including representatives from Business Enterprise Services, will take questions and deliver tailored advice on matters including funding, the search for premises and the launch process for a new business.
